My wife, Mary Murphy, has a show up at IA&A at Hillyer in Washington, D. C. until Feb. 25. You can read about the work here. The image above is so small, it gives you a false impression – the actual work is something like 60” by 55”, so these are rather confrontational pieces, so to speak.
My wife, the painter and writer Mary Murphy, has an essay in Title Magazine on the recent Frank Bramblett show at the Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia. Click on the images to see them enlarged and with the titles and dates.
Mary also has a piece in the recently opened Woodmere Annual, the museum’s 74th Juried Exhibition.
Check out my wife’s review of the current Judith Schaechter show in New York, posted at artblog.org.
Artists in other fields are notoriously ignorant about what we composers do. (Not all artists, of course.) That is no excuse for us being ignorant about what they do.
