Support the Living Song Project

I recently heard from Dr. Elizabeth Avery, a pianist on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma’s School of Music. She and mezzo-soprano Quinn Patrick Ankrum have been working on a searchable database of American art song called the Living Song Project. So far, over 500 composers and 6,000 songs are represented, with detailed information about voice type, range, text, and so forth. This will be a tremendous resource for singers and collaborative pianists, as well as being of obvious benefit to composers. You can go here to learn more about the project and to support it with a donation.
